Clinic Guard Says Men Aggressive in Pushing for Abortion
Richard Seron, an abortion clinic security guard who was wounded by John Salvi during an abortion clinic shooting in December 1994, recently testified before the Massachusetts state legislature against clinic "buffer zones," saying women face more danger at abortion clinics from their partners than from pro-lifers.

Seron noted that he had "stood toe-to-toe with Operation Rescue" during his three months at the clinic and never found their behavior objectionable, adding that "the right to choose includes the right to say 'no' at the last minute." He also said that the group he considered most likely to become aggressive were the men who accompanied their partners to abortion clinics.
